Anti-CCP (antibodies to cyclic citrullinated peptide)
The test detects antibodies to cyclic citrullinated peptide (Anti-CCP) — specific autoantibodies most often found in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Used for early diagnosis, disease activity prognosis, and therapy monitoring.
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Draw blood fasting 8-12 hours;
- exclude alcohol 24 hours before;
- avoid stress and physical activity 30 minutes before.
- Inform physician of immunomodulator or anti-inflammatory drug intake.
- Joint pain, swelling, and stiffness;
- suspected rheumatoid arthritis;
- positive rheumatoid factor results;
- family predisposition to autoimmune arthritis;
- treatment efficacy monitoring with established RA diagnosis.
Negative — anti-CCP antibodies not detected.
Positive — anti-CCP antibodies detected; indicates high RA risk or presence.
Note: Positive result evaluated together with clinical picture and other studies.
