- Collection performed over 3 days with regular stool; up to 7 days with constipation tendency
- Collect from 3-5 different areas using spatula; fill container in thirds (10ml, 15ml, 20ml portions with shaking between portions)
- Also collect sample in container without preservative
- Both containers delivered to laboratory same day; store at +2 to +8°C
- Do NOT collect after enema; after digestion-affecting drugs; after rectal suppositories; after iron/bismuth/barium preparations; after castor or mineral oil; within 2 days of X-ray studies and colonoscopy
