Timing depends on the complexity of the test:

• Urgent tests (CBC, urinalysis, glucose, etc.) — same day, after lunch.
• Most standard biochemical and hormonal tests — 1–2 business days (the day the sample is taken doesn't count).
• Complex genetic tests, cultures, or rare infections — 3 to 15 business days.

Lab test results are available on the official website www.kazmed.org, in the "Test Results" section, by entering the order number shown under the barcode on your order form (provided there is no outstanding balance on the order). Results are also available by scanning the individual QR code on your order form. Alternatively, you can pick up printed results at reception during any business hours.

Practically 95% of all existing tests can be done at home:

• All types of blood tests: general, biochemistry, hormones, vitamins, tumor markers, infections, etc.
• Urine and stool tests: the nurse will bring special sterile containers, and you can hand over the collected material to her.
• Swabs: for example, throat/nasal swabs.

The only exceptions are certain rare tests that require immediate processing of the material in the lab or specialized in-house equipment. The administrator will always clarify this when you book.

Preparation is exactly the same as if you were going to the clinic. The main rule for most blood tests is to take them strictly on an empty stomach (no food for 8–12 hours). For a urine test, use a sterile container (available at pharmacies) and collect a mid-stream sample of your first morning urine right after waking up. The administrator will always instruct you on preparation for specific test types when you book.

• Under 1 year: specialist visits and ultrasounds — on a schedule at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months.
• Age 1 to 18: if the child has no complaints and no chronic conditions, we recommend a comprehensive preventive exam once a year. This is enough to keep a close eye on their health.
