Anti-GBM (glomerular basement membrane) IgG antibodies, quantitative (ICL)
The test determines the level of antibodies to glomerular basement membrane (GBM IgG) — autoantibodies characteristic of Goodpasture's syndrome and some glomerulonephritis forms. Used for diagnosis, disease activity assessment, and treatment efficacy monitoring.
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Draw blood fasting 8-12 hours (no water);
- exclude alcohol 24 hours before;
- avoid stress and physical activity 30 minutes before.
- Inform physician of immunomodulator, hormonal, or anti-inflammatory drug intake.
- Suspected Goodpasture's syndrome;
- blood or protein in urine;
- rapidly progressive kidney function deterioration;
- lung inflammation with hemoptysis;
- disease activity monitoring after therapy.
Negative — anti-GBM antibodies not detected.
Positive — anti-GBM antibodies detected; indicates autoimmune kidney damage.
Note: Assessment conducted only together with clinical symptoms, urine tests, and other laboratory studies.
