Anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG-S antibodies, quantitative (BAU/mL)
Determines IgG antibody level to the spike protein (S) of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Used to assess immune response after COVID-19 infection or vaccination.
Deviation mechanism: After infection or vaccination, the body produces IgG antibodies to S-protein. High titer indicates formed immunity; low titer indicates weak or absent immune response.
Recommended for: everyone who has had COVID-19; everyone vaccinated; immune level assessment for revaccination planning.
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Fasting is preferred but not required
- Exclude alcohol 24 hours before
- Avoid physical activity and stress before collection
- Immune monitoring after vaccination;
- immune response assessment after COVID-19;
- evaluating need for revaccination;
- research and population immunity monitoring.
High titer — protective immune response present.
Low titer — weak immune response; revaccination may be needed.
Negative — antibodies not detected; immunity absent.
Results evaluated only together with clinical data and vaccination/infection history.
Recommended physicians: Infectious disease specialist or General Practitioner.
