Anti-β2-glycoprotein IgM antibodies, quantitative, ICL

The test quantitatively determines IgM antibodies to β2-glycoprotein 1, which are antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) markers. These antibodies increase thrombosis and pregnancy complication risk, especially in combination with other autoimmune diseases such as SLE.

Biomaterial: Venous blood

  • Draw blood fasting (8-12 hours without food)
  • Do not drink water
  • Exclude alcohol 24 hours before
  • Avoid stress and physical activity 30 minutes before
  • If taking anticoagulants, immunomodulators, or hormonal drugs — inform physician.
  • Suspected antiphospholipid syndrome;
  • unexplained venous or arterial thromboses;
  • recurrent miscarriages or pregnancy complications;
  • systemic autoimmune diseases;
  • disease activity monitoring.

Negative result — IgM anti-β2-glycoprotein antibodies not detected; APS risk low.

Positive result — IgM anti-β2-glycoprotein antibodies detected; characteristic of primary or secondary APS.

Important: results evaluated only together with clinical picture and other laboratory data.
