Anti-Yersinia enterocolitica and Anti-Yersinia pseudotuberculosis Antibodies IgA (Serum)
The test is designed to detect IgA class antibodies to yersiniosis and pseudotuberculosis pathogens.
Used for diagnosing the acute and subacute infection stage.
Particularly informative for gastrointestinal tract involvement.
Applied for diarrhea, abdominal pain, fever, skin and joint manifestations.
What the test assesses:
• Presence of IgA antibodies to Yersinia enterocolitica and Yersinia pseudotuberculosis in serum
• Activity of the infectious process and mucosal immune response
Biomaterial: Venous blood
• Submit fasting
• Avoid physical overexertion for 24 hours
Medications:
• If possible, avoid antibacterial medications for 24-48 hours
Recommended for testing:
• When yersinia infections are suspected
• With intestinal symptoms
• With fever of unknown origin
Important: results are assessed in combination with clinical data.
Negative result
— IgA antibodies to Yersinia not detected
— no acute or subacute infection
Positive result
— presence of IgA antibodies to Yersinia
— indicates a current acute or subacute infection
