Anticardiolipin antibodies IgA, IgM, IgG and anti-β2-glycoprotein IgA, IgM, IgG + Lupus anticoagulant (LA) (secondary APS)
Comprehensive study detects autoantibodies that attack blood phospholipids and related proteins, causing thrombosis tendency. Used for secondary antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) diagnosis, especially in combination with systemic lupus erythematosus or other autoimmune diseases.
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Draw blood fasting (8-12 hours without food)
- Do not drink water
- Exclude alcohol 24 hours before
- Avoid stress and physical activity 30 minutes before
- If taking anticoagulants, immunomodulators, or hormonal drugs — inform physician.
- Suspected antiphospholipid syndrome;
- unexplained thromboses (venous or arterial);
- recurrent miscarriages or pregnancy complications;
- presence of systemic autoimmune diseases (e.g., SLE);
- antiphospholipid syndrome activity monitoring.
Negative result — autoantibodies not detected; APS risk low.
Positive result — anticardiolipin antibodies, β2-glycoprotein, or lupus anticoagulant detected; characteristic of secondary APS.
Important: results evaluated only together with clinical manifestations, thrombosis history, and other laboratory studies.
