Anticardiolipin IgA antibodies, quantitative, ICL

The test quantitatively determines IgA anticardiolipin antibodies, which are antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) markers and increase thrombosis risk. Used for primary and secondary APS diagnosis, especially in combination with SLE or other autoimmune diseases.

Biomaterial: Venous blood

  • Draw blood fasting (8-12 hours without food)
  • Do not drink water
  • Exclude alcohol 24 hours before
  • Avoid stress and physical activity 30 minutes before
  • If taking anticoagulants, immunomodulators, or hormonal drugs — inform physician.
  • Suspected antiphospholipid syndrome;
  • unexplained venous or arterial thromboses;
  • recurrent miscarriages or pregnancy complications;
  • autoimmune diseases (e.g., SLE);
  • disease activity monitoring.

Negative result — IgA anticardiolipin antibodies not detected; APS risk low.

Positive result — IgA anticardiolipin antibodies detected; indicates possible primary or secondary APS.

Important: results evaluated only together with clinical manifestations and other laboratory studies.
