The test determines IgG class antibodies to the brucellosis pathogen (Brucella spp.).
Used for detecting past infection or chronic disease form.
Applied for monitoring brucellosis course and assessing treatment efficacy.
Prescribed for prolonged joint, neurological, and autonomic manifestations.
What the test assesses:
• Presence of IgG antibodies to Brucella spp. in serum
• Fact of the body's contact with the pathogen and immune response
Biomaterial: Venous blood
• Submit fasting
• Avoid intense physical exertion for 24 hours
Medications:
• If possible, avoid immunomodulatory medications for 24-48 hours
Recommended for testing:
• In diagnosis and monitoring of brucellosis
• With chronic infectious conditions
• When suspecting chronic disease course
