Chlamydia trachomatis IgA
Test for detecting IgA antibodies to Chlamydia trachomatis. Used for diagnosing current or recently past infection, assessment of inflammatory process activity. Allows determination of specific IgA antibody presence and assessment of infection activity.
Biomaterial: Venous blood
Fasting for 8-12 hours; avoid alcohol and potent medications for 24 hours; avoid physical exertion and stress 30 minutes before.
Inform the doctor about antibiotic, immunomodulator, or hormonal medication use.
Acute or recurring inflammatory processes of the genitourinary system; pain and discomfort in the genitourinary area; elevated temperature; suspected venereal diseases; contact with chlamydiosis patients; pregnancy planning or preparation for surgical procedures.
Negative — IgA antibodies to Chlamydia trachomatis not detected.
Positive — IgA antibodies detected, may indicate current or recently past infection, physician consultation required.
Important: presence of IgA does not always mean active disease.
