Chlamydia trachomatis IgM
Test for detecting IgM antibodies to Chlamydia trachomatis. Used for early diagnosis of acute infection and assessment of disease activity. Allows detection of current infection and determination of treatment necessity.
Biomaterial: Venous blood
Fasting for 8-12 hours; avoid alcohol and potent medications for 24 hours; avoid physical exertion and stress 30 minutes before.
Inform the doctor about antibiotic, immunomodulator, or hormonal medication use.
Acute symptoms of genitourinary system infection; pain and discomfort in the genitourinary area; elevated temperature; suspected venereal diseases; contact with chlamydiosis patients; pregnancy planning or preparation for surgical procedures.
Negative — IgM antibodies to Chlamydia trachomatis not detected.
Positive — IgM antibodies detected, may indicate current or recently past infection, physician consultation required.
Important: presence of IgM does not always mean active disease.
