Circulating immune complexes (CIC) (Circulating Immune Complexes, Serum)
The test is intended for detection of circulating immune complexes. Used for diagnosis of autoimmune and chronic inflammatory diseases. Prescribed for systemic connective tissue diseases.
What the test evaluates:
- Level of circulating immune complexes in blood
- Activity of immunoinflammatory processes
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Draw blood fasting
Medications:
Immunosuppressive therapy may affect results
Recommended for:
- Autoimmune diseases
- Systemic inflammatory processes
- Chronic diseases of unclear origin
Important: Results evaluated in combination with clinical data and other immunological markers.
Normal: CIC within normal range; immunoinflammatory process activity absent or minimal
Elevated: CIC concentration above normal; may indicate active inflammatory or autoimmune process
Reduced: rare; interpretation depends on clinical picture
Physician consultation required for deviations.
