Complete blood count (CBC) is a basic laboratory test allowing comprehensive assessment of overall body condition, hematopoietic system function, immune status, and detection of signs of inflammatory, infectious, anemic, and other pathological processes.
The test uses a combined approach including automatic cell counting on a hematology analyzer and manual blood smear microscopy. This format improves diagnostic accuracy and detects cellular composition changes that may not always be recognized by automated methods alone.
