Dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEA-S) (Dehydroepiandrosterone Sulfate, DHEA-S, Serum)
The test determines the concentration of DHEA-S — the stable, biologically inert form of DHEA circulating in blood. DHEA-S is synthesized almost exclusively by the adrenal cortex, making it a reliable adrenal function marker. Used for precise assessment of adrenal androgenic activity. Helps differentiate hyperandrogenism source: adrenal or gonadal (ovaries/testes). Applied in PCOS, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, and adrenal tumor diagnosis.

- Exclude physical activity and emotional stress 24 hours before
