Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Draw blood fasting
- Exclude alcohol 24 hours before
- Inform physician of all medications taken
- Suspected acute/chronic Hepatitis B;
- contact with infected;
- asymptomatic liver enzyme elevation;
- pregnant women;
- donor screening;
- pre-surgical preparation;
- risk group monitoring.
Positive — HBV DNA detected; confirms infection.
Negative — not detected or below sensitivity threshold.
Final interpretation by physician.
