dsDNA IIFL — anti-dsDNA antibodies on Crithidia luciliae, titer
The test detects antibodies to double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) by IIFL method on Crithidia luciliae. Used for SLE diagnosis, disease activity assessment, and treatment efficacy monitoring.
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Draw blood fasting 8-12 hours (no water);
- exclude alcohol 24 hours before;
- avoid stress and physical activity 30 minutes before.
- Inform physician of immunomodulator, hormonal, or anti-inflammatory drug intake.
- Suspected systemic lupus erythematosus;
- joint pain, skin rashes, elevated temperature; elevated ESR, CRP without obvious cause;
- kidney involvement (protein or blood in urine);
- activity monitoring of already diagnosed SLE.
Negative — antibodies not detected.
Positive — anti-dsDNA antibodies detected; characteristic of systemic lupus erythematosus.
Note: Results evaluated only together with clinical symptoms and other laboratory parameters.
