F-Actin Antibody Determination, IIF, Titer
The test detects antibodies to F-actin — a component of the cytoskeleton of liver smooth muscle cells. Used for diagnosis and differential diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis, as well as for monitoring disease activity.
Composition (antibodies):
F-actin — antibodies to actin filaments, specific marker of autoimmune hepatitis
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Submit fasting (8-12 hours without food)
- Water intake is allowed
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours
- Avoid stress and physical exertion 30 minutes before
- Inform the doctor if taking immunomodulators, hormonal, or anti-inflammatory medications.
- suspected autoimmune hepatitis
- elevated liver enzymes (ALT, AST) without obvious cause
- symptoms of liver damage: fatigue, jaundice, skin itching
- monitoring activity of already diagnosed autoimmune hepatitis
Negative result — F-actin antibodies not detected.
Positive result — F-actin antibodies detected, indicating autoimmune liver damage.
Important: the result is assessed only together with clinical data and other laboratory indicators.
