Fat- and water-soluble vitamins (Fat- and Water-Soluble Vitamins Panel)
Comprehensive study aimed at assessing the body's supply of main fat- and water-soluble vitamins. Vitamins participate in energy metabolism, nervous system function, immunity, and condition of skin, bones, and blood vessels. The test detects deficiency states associated with unbalanced diet, absorption disorders, and chronic diseases.
Note: This test is NOT intended for screening vitamin status assessment.
What the test evaluates:
- Levels of fat- and water-soluble vitamins in blood serum
- Overall vitamin status of the body
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Draw blood fasting
- Exclude intense physical activity 24 hours before
Medications:
If possible, discontinue vitamin complexes 24-48 hours before
- Comprehensive metabolism assessment
- With nutrient absorption disorders
- With metabolic disorders
- With diet correction
Low vitamin levels - possible fat- or water-soluble vitamin deficiency - metabolism and immune function disorders
Normal level - sufficient supply of all vitamins
Elevated level - may be associated with vitamin complex intake or improper diet
Important: Vitamin status correction and treatment prescription determined by physician.
