Fibrinogen
The fibrinogen level test allows assessment of blood clotting ability, vascular system status, and bleeding or thrombosis risk.
The study is used for diagnosing coagulation disorders, monitoring anticoagulant treatment, and assessing status in inflammatory processes, liver diseases, or cardiovascular system diseases.
Test composition:
• Material: venous blood
• Method: coagulometric or immunological method
• Determined indicator: fibrinogen concentration in blood plasma (g/L or mg/dL)
Causes of abnormalities: elevation — inflammation, stress, infections, cardiovascular diseases, or pregnancy. Decrease — acute bleeding, hereditary fibrinogen synthesis disorders, liver diseases, or anticoagulant use.

• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.
