The test is aimed at determination of gamma interferon level — a key cytokine of cellular immunity. Used to assess antiviral and antitumor body protection. Applied for immune disorders and chronic infections.

- Concentration of gamma interferon in blood serum
- Activity of cellular immune response
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Draw blood fasting

Immunomodulators and antiviral drugs may affect results
Recommended for:
- Suspected cellular immunity disorders
- Chronic viral and bacterial infections
- Immunological monitoring
- Patients with frequent infections — with reduced immunity
Results evaluated together with clinical data and other immunological markers.
Normal: gamma interferon concentration within normal range; cellular immunity functioning adequately
Deviations: reduced or elevated concentration; may indicate immunodeficiency, chronic infection, or active inflammatory process
