Applied for pregnancy diagnosis, determination of gestational age at early stages, and detection of hCG-producing tumors. Used for dynamic monitoring of pregnancy course and assessment of treatment efficacy for hCG-producing neoplasms.
What the test evaluates:
- Human chorionic gonadotropin level in blood serum
- Trophoblastic tissue activity during pregnancy
- Presence or absence of pathological hCG production outside pregnancy
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Fasting is recommended
- Test allowed during the day no earlier than 4 hours after eating
Medications:
- Preparations containing hCG may affect test result
- Inform physician of hormonal drug intake
