HLA-B27 determination (lavender tube, 2 tubes)
The test detects the HLA-B27 genetic marker associated with elevated autoimmune disease risk, primarily seronegative spondyloarthritis. Used for diagnosis and clarification of chronic back and joint pain causes.
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Draw blood fasting 8-12 hours (no water);
- exclude alcohol 24 hours before;
- avoid stress and physical activity 30 minutes before.
- Inform physician of immunomodulator or hormonal drug intake.
- Chronic low back pain, especially at young age;
- morning spinal stiffness;
- suspected ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterew's disease);
- joint inflammation without established cause;
- recurrent eye inflammations (uveitis);
- suspected psoriatic or reactive arthritis.
Negative — HLA-B27 marker not detected.
Positive — genetic marker associated with elevated spondyloarthritis risk detected.
Note: Result is not a diagnosis and evaluated only together with clinical symptoms and other examinations.
