PCR test for HPV DNA detection in urogenital tract epithelial cells determining 21 clinically significant types. Allows detection of both low and high oncogenic risk types, assessment of infection character, detection of combined infection, and precancerous change risk determination. Includes IHC (internal hybridization control).
Biomaterial: Urogenital tract epithelial cell scrape
Exclude sexual contacts 24-48 hours before; do not use topical preparations, douching, or antiseptics; recommended outside menstruation; avoid invasive procedures before collection.
Extended HPV infection examination; clinical HPV manifestations (condylomas, papillomas); cytological study deviations; monitoring after HPV treatment; preventive examination of women and men.
Negative — HPV DNA of listed types not detected, IHC normal.
Positive — DNA of one or more HPV types detected; physician consultation required to assess oncogenic risk and determine monitoring or treatment approach.
Note: HPV DNA presence does not always lead to disease development.
