Inflammatory Bowel Disease Diagnostics: ANCA Antibodies to Neutrophil Cytoplasm IIF (cANCA/pANCA) — Titer, ASCA Antibodies (Anti-Saccharomyces cerevisiae Antibodies) IgA and IgG, ICL + Fecal Calprotectin (Stool in Container)
The test detects autoantibodies and inflammatory markers associated with inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis). Used for diagnosis, assessment of inflammation activity, and therapy monitoring.
Composition (antibodies and markers):
ANCA (cANCA/pANCA) — antibodies to neutrophil cytoplasm, marker of systemic and intestinal inflammation
ASCA IgA — antibodies to Saccharomyces cerevisiae, marker of Crohn's disease
ASCA IgG — antibodies to Saccharomyces cerevisiae, marker of Crohn's disease
Fecal calprotectin — protein, marker of intestinal inflammation activity
Biomaterial: Venous blood (for ANCA and ASCA); stool in container (for fecal calprotectin)
- Submit blood fasting (8-12 hours without food)
- Submit stool in a clean container, without urine, water, or medications unless otherwise recommended
- Avoid alcohol and heavy food for 24 hours
- Avoid stress and physical exertion 30 minutes before
- Inform the doctor if taking immunomodulators, hormonal, or anti-inflammatory medications.
Prescribed for:
- frequent diarrhea or constipation with blood and mucus
- abdominal pain and cramps
- unexplained weight loss
- anemia, elevated ESR, CRP
- monitoring activity of already diagnosed inflammatory bowel disease
Negative result — antibodies and calprotectin not detected.
Positive result — autoantibodies (cANCA/pANCA, ASCA) detected or fecal calprotectin level elevated, indicating an inflammatory process in the intestine.
Important: the result is assessed together with clinical data and other laboratory tests.
