- Concentration of interleukin-4 in blood serum
- Allergic tendency (Th2-type) of immune response
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Draw blood fasting
Medications:
Antihistamines, glucocorticosteroids, and immunomodulators may affect results
Recommended for:
- Allergic diseases
- Bronchial asthma
- Atopic dermatitis
- Humoral immunity assessment
Results evaluated together with clinical data and other immunological indicators.
Normal: IL-4 within reference values; allergic immune response tendency not pronounced
Deviations: elevated IL-4 level; may indicate allergic inflammation, atopy, bronchial asthma, or IgE hyperproduction
