LE cells (Lupus Erythematosus cells)
The test detects LE cells — specific cells formed during autoimmune processes, primarily in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Used as an additional laboratory sign of autoimmune inflammation.
Biomaterial: Venous blood
Draw blood fasting 8-12 hours; exclude fatty food and alcohol 24 hours before; avoid stress and physical activity 30 minutes before. Inform physician of hormonal, immune, or anti-inflammatory drug intake.
Suspected systemic lupus erythematosus; joint and muscle pain; skin rashes, especially on face; elevated temperature without cause; chronic weakness and fatigue; blood and urine test changes; positive autoimmune markers.
Negative — LE cells not detected.
Positive — LE cells detected; may indicate systemic lupus erythematosus or other autoimmune process.
Note: Test is an additional diagnostic method. Final diagnosis made by physician.
