Quantitative Determination of Acetylcholine Receptor (AChR) Antibodies IgG, ELISA
The test detects IgG class antibodies to acetylcholine receptors (AChR). Used for diagnosing myasthenia gravis — an autoimmune disease in which nerve impulse transmission to muscles is impaired.
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Submit fasting (8-12 hours without food)
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours
- Avoid stress and physical exertion 30 minutes before
- If taking immunomodulators, hormonal, or anti-inflammatory medications — inform the doctor.
- muscle weakness worsening toward evening
- drooping eyelids (ptosis)
- double vision
- difficulty chewing, swallowing, speaking
- rapid muscle fatigue
- suspected myasthenia gravis
- monitoring treatment efficacy
Negative result — AChR antibodies not detected.
Positive result — AChR antibodies detected, characteristic of myasthenia gravis.
