Quantitative Determination of SMA IgG Antibodies, ICL
The test detects antibodies to liver smooth muscle (SMA IgG), used for diagnosing type 1 autoimmune hepatitis. Helps determine disease activity and monitor treatment efficacy.
Composition (antibodies):
SMA IgG (antibodies to smooth muscle, IgG) — marker of type 1 autoimmune hepatitis
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Submit fasting (8-12 hours without food)
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours
- Avoid stress and physical exertion 30 minutes before
- elevated liver enzymes (ALT, AST) without obvious cause
- symptoms of liver damage: fatigue, jaundice, skin itching
- suspected autoimmune hepatitis
- monitoring activity of already diagnosed autoimmune hepatitis
Negative result — smooth muscle antibodies not detected.
Positive result — SMA IgG detected, indicating autoimmune liver damage.
Important: the result is assessed only together with clinical data and other laboratory indicators.
