Stool culture on Staphylococcus aureus with antibiotic sensitivity determination

Detects S. aureus in stool and determines antibiotic sensitivity. Confirms bacterial intestinal infection and helps select effective treatment.

Deviation mechanism: S. aureus — opportunistic bacterium in intestine in small quantities; with microflora imbalance or immunity decrease → proliferates, causing inflammation. Culture grows bacteria → sensitivity determined.

Recommended for: intestinal infection symptom patients; chronic or recurrent intestinal disorders; antibiotic treatment efficacy monitoring.

Fresh stool in sterile container

Avoid antibiotics 48-72 hours before (by physician agreement)
Do not use laxatives or enemas 24 hours before
Collect fresh stool (not older than 2-3 hours)
Deliver to laboratory as quickly as possible

Frequent or prolonged intestinal disorders; diarrhea or stool changes; abdominal pain and cramps; elevated temperature; suspected food infection; recurrent infections or weak immunity.

Staphylococcus aureus detected — bacterial count and antibiotic sensitivity listed.
Not detected — S. aureus not found.
Physician makes final assessment.
Note: Sensitivity testing only when clinically significant organism detected.
Recommended physicians: General Practitioner; Infectious disease specialist; Pediatrician (children).
