The test is aimed at determination of pro-inflammatory cytokine level. Used to assess systemic inflammation activity. Prescribed for autoimmune and chronic inflammatory diseases.

- Concentration of TNF-alpha in blood serum
- Severity of inflammatory process
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Draw blood fasting
Medications:
Anti-inflammatory and immunomodulating drugs may affect results

Results evaluated together with clinical data and other lab markers.
Normal: TNF-alpha concentration within normal range; systemic inflammation not detected or within normal range
Deviations: elevated TNF-alpha level; indicates increased inflammatory process activity, autoimmune or chronic disease
