Study of specific IgE immunoglobulins to local anesthetics assessing drug allergy sensitization. Evaluates allergic reaction risk (urticaria, edema, itching, anaphylaxis).
Panel composition: Ubistesin, Ubistesin forte, Mepivastesin, Articaine, Scandinibsa
Method: ELISA or ImmunoCAP
Clinical significance: Identifies specific anesthetics causing reactions, enables safe alternative planning, and ensures safety of dental/medical procedures.
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Draw blood fasting
- Exclude alcohol the day before
- Avoid intense physical activity and stress before testing
Medications:
Inform physician of hormonal drugs, immunomodulators, and antihistamines
- Previously documented allergic reactions to local anesthetics;
- suspected anesthetic sensitization;
- planning medical procedures with anesthesia;
- selecting safe drug for patient with allergy history.
Elevated specific IgE — sensitization to specific anesthetic; potential allergic reaction on use.
Low specific IgE — absence of significant sensitization or tolerance.
Final interpretation by physician.
