Indicator of purine metabolism.
The test helps:
- detect gout
- assess kidney function
- diagnose metabolic disorders
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Submit fasting (8-12 hours without food)
- Water intake is allowed
- Avoid alcohol and fatty food for 24 hours
- Avoid smoking and physical exertion 30 minutes before
Prescribed for:
- joint pain and swelling
- suspected gout
- kidney diseases
Recommended for testing:
- patients with gout
- with kidney diseases
- with overweight
Elevation — gout, renal failure
Decrease — possible with liver diseases
