Vitamin B1 (thiamine) (Vitamin B1, Thiamine)
The test determines the level of vitamin B1 (thiamine) in blood - a vitamin playing a key role in energy metabolism, nervous system function, and muscle activity. The study detects thiamine deficiency, which can develop with chronic fatigue, elevated physical and mental loads, GI tract diseases, and vitamin absorption disorders.
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Draw blood fasting
- Exclude alcohol 24 hours before
- Avoid intense physical activity 24 hours before
Medications:
If possible, discontinue B vitamins 24-48 hours before
If discontinuation is not possible - indicate medications taken
- Chronic fatigue and reduced work capacity
- Irritability, sleep disorders
- Numbness, tingling, muscle weakness
- Memory and concentration disorders
- GI tract diseases
- Elevated physical and mental loads
- Developmental delay in children
Recommended for patients with neurological symptoms, GI diseases/vitamin absorption disorders, chronic stress/overwork, children with developmental delay, patients taking B vitamin complexes
Low vitamin B1 - thiamine deficiency - energy metabolism disorder - risk of neurological complications
Normal level - sufficient vitamin B1 supply
Elevated level - usually associated with vitamin preparation intake
Important: Deficiency correction and treatment regimen determined by physician.
