The test determines the level of the active form of vitamin B6 - pyridoxal phosphate - in blood serum. Vitamin B6 participates in protein and amino acid metabolism, neurotransmitter synthesis, and normal nervous system function. The study detects vitamin B6 deficiency, which can develop with GI diseases, chronic stress, prolonged use of certain medications, and unbalanced diet.
Biomaterial: Venous blood
- Draw blood fasting
- Avoid intense physical activity 24 hours before
Medications:
If possible, discontinue vitamin preparations and complexes 24-48 hours before
If discontinuation is not possible, indicate medications taken
