Vitamin B7, H (biotin) (Vitamin B7, Biotin)
The test determines the level of vitamin B7 (biotin) in blood serum - a water-soluble vitamin participating in fat, carbohydrate, and amino acid metabolism. Biotin plays a key role in maintaining healthy skin, hair, and nails, as well as in nervous system function. The study detects biotin deficiency, which can develop with GI diseases, prolonged antibiotic use, strict diets, and unbalanced diet.
