Yersinia enterocolitica O:3 IHA (Serum)
The test is designed to detect antibodies to Yersinia enterocolitica serotype O:3 by the IHA method.
Used for diagnosing yersiniosis caused by the most common pathogen serotype.
Applied for diarrhea, abdominal pain, fever, mesadenitis, reactive arthritis.
Prescribed for prolonged and recurring intestinal symptoms.
What the test assesses:
• Presence and titer of antibodies to Yersinia enterocolitica O:3
• The body's immune response to infection
Biomaterial: Venous blood
• Submit fasting
• Avoid physical overexertion for 24 hours
Medications:
• If possible, avoid antibacterial medications for 24-48 hours
Recommended for testing:
• When yersiniosis is suspected
• With prolonged intestinal disorders
• With reactive arthritis of infectious origin
Important: results are assessed in combination with clinical data and other yersiniosis markers.
Negative result
— antibodies to Yersinia enterocolitica O:3 not detected
— no current infection or early disease stage
Positive result
— presence of antibodies to Yersinia enterocolitica O:3
— indicates current or past infection, immune response severity
