Yersinia enterocolitica O:9 IHA (Serum)
The test is aimed at detecting antibodies to Yersinia enterocolitica serotype O:9 by the indirect hemagglutination method.
Used for diagnosing yersiniosis and differentiating pathogen serotypes.
Applied for clinical manifestations of intestinal infection, fever, intoxication, joint symptoms.
Important for clarifying diagnosis and monitoring disease course.
What the test assesses:
• Presence and titer of antibodies to Yersinia enterocolitica O:9 in serum
• Fact of infection and immune response severity
Biomaterial: Venous blood
• Submit fasting
• Avoid intense physical exertion for 24 hours
Medications:
• If possible, avoid antibacterial medications for 24-48 hours
Recommended for testing:
• When yersiniosis is suspected
• With infectious-inflammatory symptoms
• With intestinal manifestations
Important: results are assessed in combination with clinical data and other yersiniosis markers.
Negative result
— antibodies to Yersinia enterocolitica O:9 not detected
— no current infection or early disease stage
Positive result
— presence of antibodies to Yersinia enterocolitica O:9
— indicates current or past infection, immune response severity
Important: physician consultation is necessary for a positive or questionable result.
