Yersinia pseudotuberculosis Antibodies (Serum)
The test is aimed at detecting antibodies to the pseudotuberculosis pathogen (Yersinia pseudotuberculosis).
Used for diagnosing current or past infection.
Applied for fever of unknown origin, abdominal pain, skin rashes, joint involvement.
Prescribed when yersinia infections are suspected and as part of differential diagnosis of intestinal infections.
What the test assesses:
• Presence of antibodies to Yersinia pseudotuberculosis in serum
• Fact of the body's contact with the pathogen and possible activity of the infectious process
Biomaterial: Venous blood
• Submit fasting
• Avoid intense physical exertion for 24 hours
Medications:
• If possible, avoid antibacterial and immunomodulatory medications for 24-48 hours
Recommended for testing:
• When pseudotuberculosis is suspected
• With fever and intoxication symptoms
• With gastrointestinal manifestations
Important: results are assessed in combination with clinical data.
Negative result
— antibodies to Yersinia pseudotuberculosis not detected
— no current or recent infection
Positive result
— presence of antibodies to Yersinia pseudotuberculosis
— indicates current or past infection, possible active phase
