Intestinal Ultrasound
Intestinal Ultrasound ultrasound is a modern, safe, and painless diagnostic method that evaluates the condition of the small and large intestine, detects inflammatory processes, functional disorders, and growths.
The examination is available for both adults and children, with no radiation exposure and the possibility of repeated examinations.
What intestinal ultrasound detects in adults:
- inflammatory conditions (colitis, enteritis)
- thickening of the intestinal walls
- peristalsis disorders
- growths (polyps, tumors)
- bowel obstruction
- free fluid in the abdominal cavity
- enlarged lymph nodes
Location: Almaty, Aksai-5 district, 12A
2–3 days before:
Exclude gas-producing foods:
- legumes, cabbage
- raw vegetables and fruits
- dairy products
- dark/rye bread
- carbonated beverages
Recommended:
- light diet (porridge, boiled meat, fish)
- if needed — sorbents or enzymes (as prescribed by a doctor)
The day before:
- light dinner before 6:00–7:00 PM
- if prone to constipation — a mild laxative or enema
On the day of the procedure:

Important

- blood or mucus in stool
- weight loss
- suspected GI conditions
- monitoring of chronic conditions
