Single Organ Abdominal Ultrasound
Single organ abdominal ultrasound is a safe and informative examination that evaluates the condition of a specific internal organ, such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, or kidney.
Using ultrasound, the doctor evaluates:
- the size and shape of the organ,
- tissue structure,
- the presence of inflammatory changes, cysts, stones, or masses,
- blood flow characteristics (if required).
The procedure is painless, safe, and takes 10–15 minutes.
Location: Almaty, Aksai-5 district, 12A
For accurate results, it is important that the organ is visible as clearly as possible.
General recommendations:
- do not eat 4–6 hours before the examination (for the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas),
- drink water as needed (for the kidneys — drink 1–2 glasses of water 30–60 minutes before the examination),
- 1–2 days before the examination, avoid gas-producing foods: legumes, cabbage, carbonated beverages, fresh baked goods, sweets.
You may bring the results of any previous examinations for comparison.
An ultrasound of a single organ is typically ordered for:
- pain or discomfort in the area of the organ
- abnormal blood or urine test results
- suspected inflammatory or structural changes
- monitoring of previously diagnosed conditions
