Pubic Symphysis Ultrasound
Pubic symphysis ultrasound is a safe and informative examination that allows assessment of the condition of the pubic symphysis (the joint between the pubic bones) and the surrounding soft tissues.
The examination is performed to identify:
- inflammatory processes,
- traumatic injuries and symphysis diastasis,
- degenerative changes,
- pelvic pain, particularly during pregnancy or after childbirth.
Pubic symphysis ultrasound allows the doctor to evaluate the size of the joint, the thickness of the cartilage layer, the condition of the ligaments and soft tissues, and to detect instability or bone displacement.
The procedure is painless, safe, and takes 10–15 minutes.
