Doppler Ultrasound of Arteries and Veins of One Lower Limb
Doppler ultrasound of the arteries and veins of one lower limb is a comprehensive ultrasound examination of the vascular system in a single leg. It evaluates both the arterial circulation (from the femoral artery to the arteries of the foot) and the superficial and deep veins. The examination is performed with the patient in both lying and standing positions to ensure an accurate assessment of venous valve function and blood flow.
The examination is recommended for patients with unilateral vascular disease, follow-up after arterial bypass surgery, stent placement, phlebectomy, or sclerotherapy performed on one leg, vascular injuries following trauma, as well as asymmetrical leg swelling or trophic skin changes.
The examination helps detect arterial stenosis, impaired blood flow, atherosclerosis, varicose veins, venous insufficiency, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and other vascular abnormalities, allowing physicians to establish an accurate diagnosis and determine the most appropriate treatment plan.
The procedure is safe, non-invasive, requires no special preparation, and typically takes 30–35 minutes.
Location: Almaty, Aksai-5 district, 12A
