Intramuscular Test (Allergy Test)
Intramuscular diagnostic test is the administration of a minimal (test) dose of a medication to check individual sensitivity. A mandatory procedure before starting a treatment course with certain antibiotics, enzyme, and biologically active medications.
The allergy test result is evaluated 20–30 minutes after administration: absence of local and systemic reaction is the basis for conducting a full injection course. The test is performed only in a procedure room with emergency medical supplies available.

Preparation:
- do not take antihistamine medications 3–5 days before the test
- inform medical personnel about all known allergic reactions
- remain in the clinic for at least 30 minutes after the test dose administration
- if any symptoms occur (itching, rash, breathing difficulty) — immediately inform the nurse
