Heart Rate Variability
Heart rate variability (HRV) testing using the "Valeoscan" device is a method for assessing vascular condition, heart function, and the level of load on the cardiovascular system. The diagnostic uses the same device as the comprehensive valeo-diagnostics and determines the balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic branches of the nervous system, stress resilience level, and the body's adaptive reserves.
What the diagnostic shows:
• Balance of sympathetic and parasympathetic regulation of heart rhythm
• Level of the body's overall adaptive reserve
• Degree of strain on regulatory systems (risk of overwork, chronic stress)
• Functional state of the autonomic nervous system
• Stress resilience index and current level of psycho-emotional strain
Advantages of the method:
• Safety and non-invasiveness
• Speed — results ready on the day of examination
• Objective numerical assessment of nervous system condition
• Suitable for monitoring changes over time (before/after treatment, exertion)
• No special preparation required
• Recommended to arrive calm, avoiding physical exertion immediately before the procedure
• Recommended to come on an empty stomach, avoiding coffee, energy drinks, and strong tea for 1–1.5 hours before the examination
• Do not undergo the examination immediately after other diagnostic procedures or intense exertion
• Chronic stress, heightened anxiety, emotional exhaustion
• Sleep disturbances, chronic fatigue syndrome
• Blood pressure fluctuations, vegetative-vascular dystonia
• Dizziness, panic attacks, autonomic crises
• Monitoring condition under high physical or psycho-emotional load (athletes, executives, knowledge workers)
• Rehabilitation after stress, illness, or surgery
• Evaluating the effectiveness of ongoing therapy over time
• Preventive examination to assess the body's reserves
