Hip Joint X-Ray
A hip joint X-ray is a diagnostic imaging study that evaluates the condition of the joint, bone structures, and joint space, and detects injuries, inflammatory, and degenerative changes. The method is widely used for hip pain, limited range of motion, and gait disturbances.
Hip joint radiography helps to timely identify conditions such as osteoarthritis, as well as fractures and dislocations.

- femoral neck and other bone structure fractures
- dislocations and subluxations
- joint space narrowing
- bone deformities
- degenerative change signs (arthrosis)
- congenital joint features

Preparation
- Exclude gas-producing foods 1–2 days before
- Sorbents if needed
- Empty the bowel before examination
- Remove metal objects from the pelvic area
- Inform the physician of pregnancy
